Founded in 2015 ,The Chicago Foundation for the Interactive Arts was a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the interactive arts medium.
The CFIA enacted supportive programming that aimed to foster the creative community; provide financial, legal, and creative support; and utilize the interactive arts medium to educate and inspire the general public.
The organization was dissolved in 2021.
The largest program operating under the CFIA umbrella, Bit Bash, was spun off and now operates under CFIA's long-time partner, VGA Gallery.
